Nickel 400 is a high-Nickel alloy consisting of at least 63% Nickel alloyed with Copper, some Iron, and other trace elements. This material is valued by many industries for its combination of high strength and corrosion resistance over a wide range of conditions and temperatures.
Nickel 400 is a high-Nickel alloy consisting of at least 63% Nickel alloyed with Copper, some Iron, and other trace elements. This material is valued by many industries for its combination of high strength and corrosion resistance over a wide range of conditions and temperatures. Even when cooled to -423.17°F, Nickel 400 does not become brittle like many ferrous materials.
Similarly, Nickel 400 retains many of its physical properties at high temperatures. While tensile strength lessened at temperatures over 700°F, yield strength and elongation are only marginally reduced.
